Bounty Brands is proud to have a Bursary policy in place to help support tertiary studies for employees. Any permanent employee, who has completed 1 years’ service, can apply for funding to pay for their University, Technikon or College fees.

This bursary programme has been in place for 5 years and to date we have helped 25 employees to further their studies! This year, we have 8 employees on the programme, completing degrees, diplomas and certificates in Business Management, IT, Accounting, Food Safety and Packaging, to name a few.

1. What qualification are you studying towards?
Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management

2. How long has Bounty been contributing to your study fees?
I started at the company in December 2019 on a Learnership. I told my team that in 5 years I will be in a senior position in the warehouse, and they all said it will never happen. I thought to myself, “you just wait and see!”. Bounty approved funding for my studies and I started my course in March 2022.

3. How has this helped you?
Today, I can look back and say I now have a deeper understanding of the roles of warehouse and operations managers. I understand the huge responsibility that rests on their shoulders and I know the detail of managing a warehouse.

4. Is there anything else you would like to add?
With Bounty’s help I now look forward to being a manager myself one day and I am definitely up for the challenge!

Jade de Wet – Order & IT Manager Tuffy, BComm Information Technology

1. What qualification are you studying towards?
Bachelor of Commerce in Information and Technology Management.

2. How long has Bounty been contributing to your study fees?
The company has contributed for my full 3-year degree. I am currently in my 3rd and final year.

3. How has this/will this help improve your life?
This degree has really broadened my thoughts and processes in the field of
information and technology. I’ve learnt the fundamentals of business processes, analysing and interpreting IT principles and how Information Technology can significantly improve a business.

4. Is there anything else you would like to add?
